# 3.3 Opening Your Revolut Business Account

## Step 1: Select Your Country of Incorporation

After clicking the SourceSheets Revolut link (👉 <https://sourcesheets.co.uk/recommends/revolut>), you'll land on the "Let's get started!" screen, where Revolut confirms the country your business is registered in. Select it and click Continue.

![Revolut, Step 1](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-de2716942d3f1348ea23d0628d5a56690a2b7eda%2Frevolut-01.png?alt=media)

## Step 2: Choose Your Legal Business Type

Revolut asks you to confirm your legal business structure: Freelancer or sole trader, Private Limited Company, Limited Liability Partnership, Limited Partnership, Public Limited Company, or "My business type isn't listed."

Select **Private Limited Company**. This tells Revolut your business is an incorporated UK LTD, registered with Companies House, and that your business qualifies for a full Revolut Business account. Don't choose sole trader, even if you sold personally before, your LTD is now your trading entity.

![Revolut, Step 2](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4b973148b7672e276f3605aaa3aaad475351220f%2Frevolut-02.png?alt=media)

## Step 3: Enter Your Email Address

Revolut asks for the email that becomes your primary login: enter manually, or sign up with Google or Apple. For almost all sellers, entering your business email manually is best. It keeps your login separate and professional, useful when adding team members, giving accountants access, or dealing with suppliers who require matching business information. If you don't yet have a dedicated business email, a personal Gmail or Outlook address is fine for now.

![Revolut, Step 3](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-270d258d7258c05c0cacec138c7c18a4bf1e7708%2Frevolut-03.png?alt=media)

## Step 4: Verify Your Email Address

After entering your email and clicking Continue, Revolut shows a verification screen confirming an email has been sent, with a masked version of your address and a resend timer. This confirms you control the email you're using to open the account.

Open your inbox, find the email from Revolut Business, and tap the Verify Email button inside. Revolut's window updates automatically and moves you into the company setup.

![Revolut, Step 4](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4c53cd9ea0ed6d6e74b21077fca719015c39d972%2Frevolut-04.png?alt=media)

## Step 5: Enter Your Phone Number

Revolut asks for your mobile number, used to send a one-time SMS code, secure your account with two-factor authentication, receive security alerts, and approve transactions later. The field defaults to the +44 UK code. Use your personal mobile number, the one you always have access to, you don't need a business phone or a landline.

![Revolut, Step 5](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-077bdd47f16bd4a0d4027b793990fcdfd134bcf8%2Frevolut-05.png?alt=media)

## Step 6: Verify Your Phone Number

Revolut sends a 6-digit code by SMS. Enter it into the six boxes provided. This confirms the number belongs to you and lets Revolut secure your account with two-factor authentication, a standard banking-level requirement.

![Revolut, Step 6](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-e514d7e19cdda3d0c5f6a544e6f39e28fb98497a%2Frevolut-06.png?alt=media)

## Step 7: Create Your Revolut Passcode

Set a 6-digit passcode you'll use every time you open the app or approve certain actions. Choose something easy for you to remember, hard for others to guess, and different from your phone unlock code, date of birth, or a repeating pattern like 111111.

![Revolut, Step 7](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4c335f2217fdaa1da1797b78eff1aba892d130b7%2Frevolut-07.png?alt=media)

## Step 8: Enter Your Legal Name

Enter your full legal first and last name, exactly as it appears on your passport or driving licence, with no abbreviations or nicknames (the field literally prompts "e.g. Daniel, not 'Dan'"). If your ID shows a middle name, Revolut may ask for it later during verification.

![Revolut, Step 8](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-b075aa77fc3de1d91947f8fc666c5f7584ccfd87%2Frevolut-08.png?alt=media)

## Step 9: Enter Your Date of Birth

Enter your date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY) exactly as it appears on your ID. Revolut uses this to confirm your identity, comply with financial regulations, and verify you're 18 or older, the minimum age to open a Revolut Business account.

![Revolut, Step 9](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8523dbb329ad4afdc1e48a59c58d0af44dcd3b92%2Frevolut-09.png?alt=media)

## Step 10: Enter Your Residential Address

Enter your current legal residential address. This must match your driving licence (if used as ID), any proof of address requested later, and the address used for your LTD formation.

![Revolut, Step 10](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-2d29c728043527533237c7cc1aab53d29152838f%2Frevolut-10.png?alt=media)

## Step 11: Select Your Citizenship

Choose your citizenship from the country list, Revolut suggests one at the top, usually United Kingdom. This must match your passport, national ID, or driving licence.

![Revolut, Step 11](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8040b849bf42a1253f06e8c2dd87e628d7d25f6c%2Frevolut-11.png?alt=media)

## Step 12: Find & Confirm Your Company

Revolut runs an instant Companies House lookup to connect your new LTD. Confirm your country of incorporation (already set to United Kingdom) and search for the exact legal name of your LTD as it appears on your Certificate of Incorporation.

![Revolut, Step 12](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-16c445be1f99cbc701fe0c2419ab671756f80df1%2Frevolut-12.png?alt=media)

## Step 14: Review the Revolut Business Terms

Confirm you've reviewed Revolut's Business Terms and click "Accept and continue." You'll receive the documents by email once this is done. This lets Revolut legally open your account and comply with financial regulations.

![Revolut, Step 14](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a2cd24d6b8493e37719864ecc1593362bf05d61f%2Frevolut-13.png?alt=media)

## Step 15: Declare Your Role in the Company

Most new Amazon sellers select "I am the only director and shareholder," meaning you own 100% of the company and are the only registered director, true for the vast majority of newly formed LTDs. If you formed your company through Tide as shown in this Blueprint, you'll already be set as sole director, sole shareholder, and PSC (Person With Significant Control).

![Revolut, Step 15](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-91de7c91eccca24fd8b3155f390eada565f8de9d%2Frevolut-14.png?alt=media)

## Step 16: Your Revolut Dashboard & Required Activation Tasks

Once your basic details are submitted, Revolut drops you into your new Business dashboard, though the account isn't active yet. A panel shows six tasks to complete: Business address, Nature of business, Business details, Corporate structure, Personal identity, and Plan and card. The exact order may vary slightly by business type, but each is quick and fully guided.

Work through each item top to bottom. Revolut auto-fills most details from Companies House, asks for one quick ID verification step, asks you to confirm your business activity (choose Online Retail / eCommerce), and lets you choose a card (skip paid plans, the free tier is fine). Once all six show a green tick, your account moves into final approval, usually within a few hours and often within 10 to 30 minutes.

![Revolut, Step 16](https://3986765814-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyUIGNjYBTQwrbsINKQV2%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-15b59d8a9640712f06d9ee229ee3b7a53cade900%2Frevolut-15.png?alt=media)

## Step 17: Completing Revolut Activation & Unlocking Your Blueprint Milestone

To tick off the Revolut Business Milestone and unlock your free month of SourceSheets, complete these inside Revolut:

1. Sign up and pass identity verification
2. Order a physical Revolut Business card
3. Top up your account
4. Spend at least £60 on that card
