# 5.8 Why We Don't Start Keepa, SellerToolKit, Repricers, or Other Tools Yet

As a brand-new seller, the most important thing right now is mastering the basics of product analysis using the SourceSheets ASIN Analyser.

That gives you everything you need for your first 30–60 days.

However, there are advanced tools you will eventually add as your business grows. Below is your early look at what they are, what they do, and why we recommend saving them until you're ready.

### Keepa: The Gold Standard of Amazon Product History

<https://sourcesheets.co.uk/recommends/keepa>

Keepa is the industry's most important Amazon data tool.

**What it does**

* Tracks years of price history, sales rank history, Buy Box trends
* Shows deep seasonal patterns and stock changes
* Gives precise insights into competition cycles and price crashes

**Why we don't start it yet**

* The ASIN Analyser already gives you Keepa-style charts built in
* Beginners get overwhelmed by Keepa's interface before they know what they're looking at
* You won't use 80% of Keepa's advanced features until Month 2–3

If you want to jump ahead: feel free, it's a phenomenal tool. But it's not required to start profitably.

### SellerToolKit (STK): Inventory, Accounting & Stock Management

<https://sourcesheets.co.uk/recommends/sellertoolkit>

SellerToolKit is a full operations suite for serious Amazon sellers, and it connects directly into SourceSheets under **Settings → SellerToolKit** when you're ready for it.

**What it does**

* Tracks inbound FBA shipments, stock, and unit-level fees
* Auto-detects reimbursements Amazon owes you
* Connects directly to your Seller Central backend
* Gives complete COGS and profitability reporting

**Why we don't start it yet**

* You won't have enough sales volume for STK to shine until you're regularly shipping stock
* In the first month, you don't need this level of automation, only basic tracking through your Buy List

Jump ahead if: you already know you'll scale fast and want full automation in place early. Module 11 covers connecting it properly when you're there.

### Repricers

A repricer automatically adjusts your listing price in response to competitor moves, so you're not manually checking and repricing every product yourself.

**What it does**

* Adjusts your prices automatically to help win the Buy Box
* Lets you set rules: match the lowest price, beat it by a set amount, or hold above a minimum margin
* Reduces the manual pricing work once you're carrying more products than you can watch by hand

**Why we don't start it yet**

* Repricers only make sense once you're making consistent daily sales across a decent number of listings
* For beginners, manual pricing is enough, and it's how you actually learn how price cycles work

Jump ahead if: you're starting with larger capital or want fully automated pricing early. Module 11 covers what to look for in a repricer once you're at that stage.

### Capital On Tap: Business Credit & Cashback

<https://sourcesheets.co.uk/recommends/capitalontap>

This is the go-to business credit card for UK sellers.

**What it offers**

* Cashback on every purchase (including Amazon FBA stock)
* No personal credit impact when applying
* Rewards, employee cards, and expense tracking

**Why we don't start it yet**

* First, you need your business set up and trading
* Some sellers prefer running their first month on a debit card to keep costs simple

Jump ahead if: you want cashback from day one and to build business credit immediately.

### RT Accounting: Your Amazon-Focused Accountant

A specialist eCommerce accountant makes VAT, bookkeeping, and Amazon fees dramatically easier.

**What they handle**

* VAT registration, filings, and thresholds
* Amazon reconciliation, FBA fees, and settlement checks
* Year-end accounts and tax planning

**Why we don't start it yet**

* You don't need an accountant until your business is live and trading
* Most new sellers wait until their first £3–5k revenue before onboarding one

Jump ahead if: you want everything handled from day one with no admin stress.

### Why We Start Simple and Add Tools Later

Your first 30 days should be focused on:

* Understanding product analysis
* Learning sourcing fundamentals
* Building confidence
* Making your first sales
* Avoiding overwhelm

Everything above is powerful, but only when the basics are mastered.

Right now, the ASIN Analyser plus SourceSheets is all you need. Everything else becomes essential later, when you're ready to scale.
