# 7.2 Confirm Your Preferences Are Set

SourceSheets has one built-in analysis tool, the ASIN Analyser, so there's no tool choice to make here. What you do need to confirm before analysing anything is that your Preferences are actually set.

Open **Settings → Preferences** and check:

* Your Profitability defaults (Minimum Profit, Minimum ROI, Minimum Sales/mo) are filled in
* Your VAT status is set correctly
* Your Display preferences are how you want them

If you're not sure where to start, a reasonable beginner baseline is **£1 minimum profit per unit, 20% minimum ROI, and 50 sales per month**. These are the same starting thresholds used throughout the 7 Gates in Part 4, so setting them here keeps your Preferences and your gate analysis pointing at the same numbers. Tighten them as your own costs, storage, prep, returns, become clearer.

Every sheet, Radar feed, and analysis run against these numbers automatically. If they're empty or wrong, everything you look at from here on will be too.

This matters because:

* SourceSheets doesn't guess your thresholds for you
* Wrong or missing Preferences can make a bad product look fine, or a good one look rejected
* You only need to set this once, it carries across the whole platform

Before analysing anything, confirm your Preferences are set the way you actually want to buy.
