# 8.2 What Happens After You Place an Order

What happens next depends on how you bought.

## If You Bought In-Store (RA)

Nothing to wait for, you already have the stock in your hand. Your next step is getting it inventory-ready (Module 9) and shipped to Amazon (Module 10).

## If You Bought Online (OA)

Your order moves through the retailer's normal delivery process, the same as any online shop order. Standard delivery windows apply, there's no special wholesale processing to wait on. Track it the way you'd track any parcel.

## Receipts and Order Confirmation

Save your receipt or order confirmation email for every purchase. Most of the time you won't need it, but it's proof of purchase if Amazon ever asks a question about a listing, and it's useful if you decide to pursue ungating on a restricted brand later (7.3).

## The Key Takeaway

There's no account to manage and no supplier relationship to maintain. Once you've bought and received the stock, whether that took two minutes in a shop or two days in the post, you move straight on to getting it ready for Amazon.
