# 9.2 Sending a Buy to Your Amazon Inventory

Once a product's on your Buy List and you've actually bought it from the supplier, send it to your Amazon inventory before you ship it.

### The button

Open **Buylist** and find the row for what you bought. In Actions, click **Add to Amazon Inventory**. SourceSheets generates the SKU using the format you set up in 9.1 and creates the listing in your Amazon inventory, ready for a shipment.

### You need Amazon linked first

This only works once your Amazon Seller Central account is linked under **Settings → Connected Accounts**. If it isn't linked yet, clicking Add to Amazon Inventory will prompt you to connect it rather than sending anything, you can't get partway through this by accident. Link it once and every future send just works.

### Why this replaces a manual tracker

The old way of doing this involved keeping your own spreadsheet of what you'd bought, what SKU you'd assigned it, and whether it had actually been sent to Amazon yet. All three of those are now handled by SourceSheets: the SKU is generated automatically from your saved format, and the send itself is the thing that puts it in your Amazon inventory. There's nothing left to track by hand, the Buy List and your Amazon inventory are the record.

### What happens next

Once a product is in your Amazon inventory, Module 10 covers turning that into an actual shipment, labelling, boxing it, and getting it to Amazon.
